Maggie Leavitt has been operating a successful consultancy, Maggie Cox and Associates since 1987. Prior to this she held corporate positions in the U.K. and Australia as a Human Resources Manager and Psychologist. Maggie has extensive experience working in the areas of management and leadership development and training; performance coaching; and facilitation. She has a particular interest in assisting people to overcome systemic and personal barriers enabling them to excel in their work setting.
Maggie is a Registered Psychologist with an MA in Psychology and Economics from the University of Glasgow; a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the University of Strathclyde; and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology from Flinders University.
Maggie has consulted with many clients at UWA and since 1998 has worked with Jen de Vries in developing and delivering the Leadership Development for Women (LDW) program. She has also designed and facilitated a series of accredited programs - ‘Women into Management’ for the Department of Agriculture and led the Leadership and Change Module (one week residential) of the Public Sector Management Program. Maggie has worked extensively in the public and private sectors. Recent clients include Department of Environment and Conservation; University of Western Australia; Charles Sturt University; Curtin University; University of Tasmania; Murdoch University; Bendigo bank: St John of God Health Care; WA Police; Corrective Services; Healthway; Disability Services Commission; and Perth Home Care Services.
